Thank you for your interest!

We are taking a break from offering Veggie and Flower Shares in 2024.

Learn more about our decision and get CSA recommendations here.

The Veggie Box is a form of Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA), a model first established in the 1960s by Dr. Booker T. Whatley, a Black farmer and agricultural professor from Alabama. The model allows eaters like you to help provide financial support at the beginning of the farming season when farmers incur the bulk of our expenses buying seeds, equipment, tools, and more. In return, you receive supremely fresh veggies and become part of a community of people invested in sustaining a small, local farm. It's a unique opportunity to decrease the impact of your food consumption on the climate, get more acquainted with your food, know who and where it comes from, and learn how eating with the seasons impacts your body.

With each box you receive:

  • delicious, just-harvested box of vibrant veggies with a variety of 6-10 items (we always aim for more items when we can!)

  • newsletter with updates from the farm, a list of what's in the box, recipes, and tips for how to best utilize your produce

  • resources to support you on your veggie box journey

Share Options + Pricing

We offer a sliding scale payment system for a few reasons: 1) to ensure that everyone who wants access to our veggies can get them, 2) to build a culture of solidarity and respect within our farm community, and 3) to ensure the farm receives enough funding to honor our work. Please scroll to the bottom of the page to see how to pay with a check or in installments.

All of the share options below receive 10 boxes over the course of the season with 6-10 items in each box. If you need support figuring out what payment level makes sense for you, check out this resource from Zenger Farm or shoot us an email to discuss it further at kamayanfarm@gmail.com.

Why support local flowers?

Eighty percent of flowers in the U.S. are imported, have a heavy carbon footprint, and are generally sprayed with chemicals to help them grow and even more to preserve them through their long journey. Our flowers are organically grown, without the input of any chemicals or preservatives, and delivered without the use of plastic sleeves. Our flowers travel a maximum of 30 miles from the farm to their pick up sites.
